one day at a time...

People said that librarian has never ending jobs. It keeps buzzing in my two ears whenever school holidays happen. While other staff are enjoying their days off, we, librarians, must come in to school and...work...[what could be happier than that? :-)]Of course we, librarians, have our right to take our annual leave days during school holidays. 15 days? 20 days? We're,again- of course more fortunate that others, right? Tough, we have to split them into Christmas/New Year, Easter, Summer plus the three times of mid term holidays every year. Which event you want to save your off-days for? Anyway, I'm not writing about our right regarding annual leave nor about how many days the school grants us but about the statement above:
the librarian has never ending jobs...

First of all, this morning was wet and cold. Heavy rain poured since early morning that made us lazy to wake up.
Being a mum, shouting in the morning is a nature ritual everyday [dont tell them sometimes i used this to cover my lazyness to wake up early too]...wakey....wakey...wakey...kids! go to the bathroom, eat your breakfast, bring your school snack, put your shoes on, and...dont forget to bring your bag, my son!!!!!(he forgot to bring his bag to school, twice...whose to blame?)

Anyway...i started this monday morning hardly. Thanks to my hubby who dropped me by at school...
I though I would have finished my paper to be presented in Bogor 6th this morning. Putting the headphones on to say DONT DISTURB...okey...open my file, scaning the writing I've done already last week...suddenly i remember that I've promised a French teacher to give her quiz, questions and answers, for her camping event. Thanks to Budi who are already there to help me out with this.

Back to desk and start again...

Insurance!! geee...i have to contact them regarding fixing my car. Yesterday it bumped a sidewalk in Bogor. Poor Jeje...i think it just want more attention from us. Ring..ring...bla...bla...and done.

Check my diary. Firstly: I must prepare myself, and my lessons if next year the school would give me some dedicated time to run some classess for IB students. Secondly: the improvement of the library content especially the plan to digitize some objects in the library. Thirdly, weeding. There are boxes of books awaitng for sort out. Fourthly: The Great Books: how to use it? Fiftly, VLE's library content to develop ...and on...and on...and on..blap, close the diary. Now, do emails....ICOLIS, joining latuputty yahoogroups, and etc...etc...

Get back to my work on laptop. Then APISI turned up on my mind. Open its website. Huu..I should have uploaded some more writing in it. Then I started...add here...add there...add the nearest event info, add the polling, add the networking links..voila!!! Lunch time passed. [no body ask me to talk on line...]

A colleague visited with his wife and son. She shared her health problem. Well you cannot escape from this situation, right. Beside, I'm happy to have her coming to my library after long..long time not seeing her. Am glad, that she wants to talk with me about her condition, as for me it reflects her trust and close friendship. To the boy, having had showing him the big fish tank, I told him that there was a mermaid, or Ariel, he said. He was curious and really want to meet her and ask me where he could find her. I didn't tell him that he was talking to the one.

They're gone.

Start again.

APISI ... after some times viewing the sites, it needs some adjustmen. Do this...do that! done!
Send an email to APISI colleagues for feed back. Finish.

Now...my blog. I wrote my comments on the book i read over the weekend, and now cant help of writing more...I cant tell you the process until I find a song that I've ever listened to it when I were a child. I enjoyed Lynda Randle who sang it on youtube. Here's the lyrics:

One Day at a Time, Sweet Jesus

I'm only human, I'm just a woman
Help me believe in what I could be
And all that I am
Show me the stairway, I have to climb
Lord for my sake, teach me to take
One day at a time

cho: One day at a time sweet Jesus
That's all I'm asking from you
Just give me the strength
To do everyday what I have to do
Yesterdays gone sweet Jesus
And tomorrow may never be mine
Lord help me today, show me the way
One day at a time

Do you remember, when you walked among men
Well Jesus you know if you're looking below
It's worse now, than then
Cheating and stealing, violence and crime
So for my sake, teach me to take
One day at a time
(http://www.traditionalmusic.co.uk/folk-song-lyrics/One_Day_at_a_Time_Sweet_Jesus.htm)

Well...it wasn't about violence and crime...but this song made me sit still and
humming the melody
one day at a time....
